This work was made within the artist’s residency “Nad bogom” in Vinnitsa, the topic of which was a reflection on passed laws about decommunisation. According to these laws the communistic symbolic has to be uninstalled. Some important cultural monuments also get under these laws. The residency took place in abandoned cinema built in 60s. Inside the building I found a decorative relief which was partly destroyed. One hole was inserted with a wooden piece. I used that wooden piece as a canvas and made an illusion, trompe l’oeil, on it. I continued the pattern with some change.
